CRM5 Dip Reflex MAR

BSc Hons Zoology

Reflexology arrived in my life one evening at a WI meeting, where the most lovely lady called Liz came to speak about it and how it can help people. I was her demonstration person- my life changed direction that evening, because I received a gift of energy and warmth like I can't really describe.

Some months later I needed help to re-establish my emotional and physical equilibrium, so I found Liz and she helped my mind and body to heal and protect itself over the following year.

My career had been in a fast paced IT sales and marketing role, but it had never really felt like it was "me" and what I was here for. So when I saw a Reflexology taster day advertised, I went along, loved it, and signed up for a Level 5 diploma in Clinical Reflexology. The following day I rang up and told my boss I wasn't coming to work any more (ever!) , and the rest, as they say, is history. I now have a Level 5 Diploma in Clinical Reflexology, with Distinction, from the Anahata School in Lincoln. I have MAR status (Member of the Association of Reflexologists)

During my 18 months of training I did over 100 treatments, and found that I had a particular resonance with people with back injuries, people with sleeping difficulties, and menopausal ladies who were at wits' end with their sweats and general loss of feeling of self worth.

At last I have achieved a sense of purpose and an ability to help other people to help themselves become their best healthiest selves.

Since Qualifying, I have continued on my Reflexology learning journey.

I have taken a short course on Reflexology for Stress Management, delivered by Hagar Basis at the Reflexology Academy in London.

I have also studied Reflexology for Mental Health with Chi Medics to gain a better understanding of Traditonal Chinese Medicine principles, so I can enhance my treatments through the use of our body energy or Chi.
